It's Heart Month...

Everyone is invited to a FREE seminar, “Heart Disease & Women,” 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at four Henry Ford Health System locations. 

Henry Ford cardiologists will present information on women and heart disease - the number one killer of women.  In many cases, women are diagnosed later in life with more advanced disease than men. 

Learn about the differences in symptoms, the expert resources available, and the important steps you can take to reduce your risk of heart disease.

A FREE light dinner will be provided, and valet parking will be available.

Seminars will be held at: 

- Henry Ford Hospital, Staff Dining Room, 2799 W. Grand Boulevard, Detroit
- Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Medical Pavilion – Conf. Rms 2 & 3, 15585 19 Mile Rd., Clinton Township
- Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Private Dining Rooms 1 – 3, 6777 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield
- Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, Multipurpose Rooms A & B, 2333 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte 

Each location will hold the seminar on the same day and time. There is no cost to attend the seminar, but registration is required.

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital to Offer Free Adult Yoga Classes

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital (HFWH) invites the public to attend free yoga classes with local instructor Bharat Gupta. The two-part series is part of an ongoing effort by the hospital to promote health and wellness in the Downriver community.

All classes are from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the

Washington Elementary School gymnasium
1440 Superior, Wyandotte.

Participants will need to bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Session runs from Tuesday, Nov. 1 until Thursday, Dec. 1

Registration begins at 6 p.m. and presentations start at 6:30 p.m. at HFWH, 2333 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte. For those who attend, light refreshments will be provided.

Hot Topic: Atrial Fibrillation – Don't let your shortness of breath go unnoticed. Learn about the signs and treatment options of the most common type of abnormal heart rhythm, atrial fibrillation, from Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital expert Dr. Arfaat Khan.
