Things at my place of employment are crazy busy. There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done. So getting any sort of a nutritious meal tends to come from quickly heating up leftovers in one of the kitchens and eating at my desk.

Now wherever there is food, there will be spills.  And there is nothing worst than trying to work at a dirty, sticky, stained desk.  So I was very happy during my recent trip to Chicago to attend the BlogHer 13 conference to find that Windex was a conference sponsor - and they were giving conference attendees the chance to try out the new Windex Touch-Up Cleaner.

Windex Touch-Up Cleaner comes in a small 10 oz bottle that takes up very little space, but packs a cleaning punch. The top of the bottle is a pump that you use with a napkin or paper towel to pump out just enough cleanser to take care of the spill.

I keep a bottle of Windex Touch-up Kitchen Multi-Surface cleaner in my office to keep things clean and shiny so that it never looks like a eat at my desk. I also keep a bottle of Windex Touch-Up Bathroom Multi-Surface Cleaner in my main bathroom at home for quick touch-ups of the toilet, sink, mirror and counters.

Each bottle of Windex Touch-Up Cleaner dispenses over 240 pumps of antibacterial cleanser so a little bottle goes a long way - and leaves behind a fresh scent.

I would sum of my review of Windex Touch-Up Cleaner as follows -

Pros -
- Leaves surfaces clean and shining
- Fresh, Clean Scent
- Bottle is cute so you can leave it out in plain view
- Easy to use pump
- Designed so you use only what you need - no product waste

Cons -
- May be considered a little pricey for the amount of product

Windex Touch-Up Cleaner retails for around $3.50 for a 10 oz bottle and is sold at retail stores like Walmart.

Top designers are creating “dream house” vignettes in showrooms throughout the Michigan Desgin Center, giving you fresh ideas for your entire home!

The Admission price to this event is a new, unwrapped toy donations (ages 5-12) for Troy Fire Department Children’s Charity

Metro Detroit’s top interior designers transform Michigan Design Center into a virtual “dream house,” with custom room settings in showrooms throughout MDC. Stroll through nearly 30 beautifully designed spaces and meet the talented designers who created them. At each unique vignette, collect Designer Tips with fresh ideas for every room in your home!

In lieu of paid admission, event guests are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys (ages 5-12) to benefit the Troy Fire Department Children’s Charity, which helps 70-100 underprivileged children each year to purchase holiday gifts for their family members. Toys collected during the Haute House event will be given as gifts to the kids during Troy Fire Department’s Annual Children’s Holiday Party.

Vote for your favorite vignettes in the “People’s Choice” contest and be entered to win a gift card to Michigan Design Center showrooms.

FASHION: Get Fall Fashion Style on the Cheap at Meijer #MeijerStyle

I believe that style has nothing to do with the amount of money that you spend or if the item carries a designer name brand. I have a handbag fetish and out of all the handbags that I own, the one that I have received the most compliments on I purchased at a gift shop at a local water park.  So I am always on the look out for stylish pieces no matter where I go.

A new Meijer store just opened near my home and today I made my way there to check out the store and see what bargains I could find. Even though I mainly go to Meijer for the food deals, my cart still made its way over to the women's fashion area since my wardrobe is definitely in need of a few new items for fall and winter.

I love the shape and I don't have a bag this color of gray...

Since I love me a new handbag, I made my way over to the accessory section to check out the selection and a gray handbag with zippered pockets of each side really caught my eye. I loved the color and square shape which would definitely go well with items in my existing wardrobe.

Purple is my favorite color for accessories!

I love this ring!

I love jewelry and I had no idea that Meijer sold fine silver plated jewelry.  Two pieces that really caught my eye were both by Cellini - an oversize silver ring and a purple bead bracelet (purple is my favorite color).

The ring was priced at $20 and the bracelet at $25. But I found out from reading the Meijer Weekly Ad that the bracelet will be on sale for $10 starting Sunday, September 22nd thru Saturday, September 28th so you know I will be returning to get that deal!!

This coat fits me like a glove...

One thing that I really need in my wardrobe is a new winter coat. Last winter, I walked 3-4 times a week outside during my lunch break to keep in shape and my current winter coat is on it's last leg after 6 years. So when I noticed a very cute winter coat out of the corner of my eye, I made a beeline over to try it on and check out the price.

This stylish silver coat (see photo above) fit me like a glove. The coat was retail priced at $50, but with the 40% off fashion coupon that was on the back cover of the Meijer Fall Look Book, the coat's price dropped down to $30 - TOTAL DEAL!!!!

I could not buy that coat fast enough. Now I will be stylish and warm on my walks this winter. Thank you Meijer ;)
