GIVEAWAY: Meet the Newest Hot Toys of the 2013 Holiday Season - The Beatrix Girls!!! - ENDS 11/14 (CLOSED)

Get 20% off Beatrix Girls Dolls at Toys R Us thru November14th...

Special thanks to the makers of The Beatrix Girls for sponsoring the prize for this giveaway...

This year while attending the BlogHer13 conference in Chicago, I was invited to the Big Toy Book's Sweet Suite party that featured the hot toys of the upcoming 2013 holiday season. That is where I found out about a toy that is turning out to be one of the hottest toys for the holiday - The Beatrix Girls.

The Beatrix Girls are a group of strong rocker chicks who know how to make beautiful music together. The group is made up of ultra feminine Ainsley on the drums, fiery red haired Lark on guitar, super cool Brayden on lead guitar, and French Canadian Chantal on keyboard.

These 12'' fashion dolls are pop musicians and role models for a new generation of empowered young girls who just be themselves and follow their dreams.

Last month, I reviewed Beatrix Girls keyboardist Chantal, who is one super cute doll that made me want to be a kid again. From styling her hair to dressing her in super cool clothes, to rocking out with her rock music pals, this is one fashion doll with which young girls will love to play.

The Beatrix Girls dolls just became available for purchase last month at Toys-R-Us and online at Amazon.com.  The dolls can also be purchased at www.buybeatrixgirls.com where each doll plus her musical instrument is sold for $34.99.

TOY REVIEW: Meet the Newest Hot Toys of the 2013 Holiday Season - The Beatrix Girls!!!

Meet Beatrix Girl Chantal -  She will Rock Your World!!!
Rock out with the Beatrix Girls for the 2013 Holidays...

Special thanks to Pop star Club, LLC for providing a complementary Beatrix Girls doll to facilitate this review. I am an Amazon affiliate member.

This year while attending the BlogHer13 conference in Chicago, I was invited to the Big Toy Book's Sweet Suite party that featured the hot toys of the upcoming 2013 holiday season.

I felt like a total VIP getting to check out the hot toys that every child (and children at heart) will want for the Christmas season. And while I love a good tech toy, it was a more traditional toy that caught my eye while at the party - a set of rock star dolls called The Beatrix Girls.

The Beatrix Girls
The Beatrix Girls are a group of strong rocker chicks who know how to make beautiful music together. The group is made up of ultra feminine Ainsley on the drums, fiery red haired Lark on guitar, super cool Brayden on lead guitar, and French Canadian Chantal on keyboard.

These 12'' fashion dolls are pop musicians and role models for a new generation of empowered young girls who just be themselves and follow their dreams.

Chantal is one super cute doll.  From styling her hair to dressing her in super cool clothes, to rocking out with her rock music pals, this is one fashion doll with which young girls will love to play. And she is a girl after my own heart since, besides being a rock star and a fashionista, Chantal also loves to blog!!!

The Beatrix Girls dolls just became available for purchase this month. You can find the dolls in-stores and online at Toys-R-Us and purchase The Beatrix Girls online at Amazon.com and also at www.buybeatrixgirls.com where each doll plus her musical instrument is sold for $34.99.  The dolls are recommended for kids age 6 to 15.  Due to the small parts, the dolls are not safe for ages 3 and under.

For more information, follow the Beatrix Girls on Twitter at www.twitter.com/TheBeatrixGirls and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheBeatrixGirls.

New Winx Club Dolls are "hit" with Little Girls

Guest blogger Valerie Gill and her two daughters give their take on the new Winx Club Dolls based on the hot new animated series on Nickelodeon...

When my two daughters found out that they were going to be receiving brand new Winx Club Dolls to review, they were beyond excited. The girls love to watch the Winx club on Nickelodeon on Saturday mornings.

Winx Club is a modern fantasy adventure series following six fashion-forward best friends (Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha) who attend the finest fairy school in all the realms, Alfea College. When trouble arises, the Winx Club transforms into beautiful fairies who use their unique magical powers to fight villains and save the world from evil.

My daughters couldn’t wait to see what the dolls looked like. Here are their thoughts in their own words:

Lydia, age 10, reviewed Aisha. Lydia’s comments: "Aisha is the fairy of wings. I like the doll a lot because of her boots, outfit and hair. My favorite item is the boots!! She looks exactly like the real thing! Great job on designing!"

Leah, age 9, reviewed Stella. Leah’s comments: "Stella is the fairy of the sun. I think the doll is very pretty. My favorite thing about the doll is how she looks. My favorite part about the doll is how you can bend the arms and legs. The wings are really neat, too!!"

As their Mom, I was pleased that the dolls came with a brush since their hair is so pretty. The dolls are very well made and can be posed a number of ways. I also liked that each doll was unique, with different features. My daughters couldn’t wait to open them up and play them and couldn’t put them down!! Both of them thought that wings were very pretty –and they loved that you can take the wings off when you want to change the doll’s clothing.

All in all, these are very nice dolls and I think my daughters will enjoy adding them to their doll collections!
