Oakland County Online service offers deed fraud protection
The Oakland County Clerk's Office is launching a free online service today to help homeowners protect themselves from mortgage and deed fraud. FRAUDCHECK will allow homeowners to go online and see if any unauthorized documents have been recorded with the clerk/register of deeds in the last 12 months. The program will be available through http://www.landaccess.com/
