TECH: Catch March Madness with a 2nd Screen from @BestBuy and @BestBuyWOLF #CatchItAll

Disclosure: The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free

My smartphone allows me to not miss a minute of the tourney-time action...

I am not that much of a college basketball fan until March rolls around.  There is something about putting teams into a "win or go home" situation that brings out the best in players and the most exciting games to watch for the fans.

And with Michigan and Michigan State still in the running as of writing this post, I love having local pride bragging rights :)

But with so many games being played in one day (there are 8 games being played just today) and everyone's schedules packed with places to go and things to do, how can you catch up on all the basketball madness and still be on the go?  Why with the 2nd screen of course - and my 2nd screen of choice to my wonderful smartphone.

There really is an app for everything, including March Madness…
I have written many times on my blog how much I love my smartphone and how I use it for everything from email to entertainment.  And for March Madness fans, the smartphone is the perfect 2nd screen for staying up on the scores and even watching the games live. And with apps like March Madness Live, I can get the the schedules and the scores, and even watch the games right on my smartphone.

And when I am at home, I can use apps like the Xfinity X1 Remote app to use my smartphone to control my cable boxes while watching the games - no more searching for the remote.

Find your perfect 2nd screen at Best Buy…

I have been known to spend my lunch time browsing through the tech products at my local Best Buy since they have a wide range of prices and products all under one roof - and I love getting to try them all out.  Trying out tech products before you buy can save you lots of time and expense when choosing the perfect tech for you.

If you are in the market for a new smartphone to use as your 2nd screen and even more, Best Buy has a wide choice of smartphones and services that can help keep you connected to the excitement, all brought to life by the brand promise of the latest devices and services, all in one place.

Game Time Meals can be Delicious and Low Priced with DiGiorno Pizza at Walmart #GameTimeGoodies

Disclosure: I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their advertiser.

#gametimegoodies #shop #cbias
DiGiiorno Pizza is yummy at a low price! #cibas #gametimegoodies
DiGiorno Pizza is the perfect low cost meal for any game time event...

My son and I love to watch our beloved local Detroit professional basketball team play both in-person and on television.  My son has been a local professional basketball fan since I signed him up a few years ago for a team sponsored Kids Day Job Shadow Program.

The Kids Day Job Shadow program was part of a special MLK Day basketball game celebration and matched kids with stadium employees to expose the kids to sports jobs in guest services, housekeeping, suite services, merchandising, the box office, game operations (reporters and announcers), multimedia, and restaurant services. There were also kids assigned as "Team look-alikes" who dressed up in full team uniforms and took the place of the starting players in the line-up. The job shadowing happened during the first quarter of the MLK Day basketball game and then the kids got to watch the rest of the game with us parents in the stadium.

My son was part of the Kids Day Job Shadow Program for two years and since then, he has become a huge local professional basketball fan who follows all the games.  We had excellent seats to see our local Detroit professional basketball team play in-person last November, but we mainly watch the team on television and make a evening of it on non-school nights in front of the TV with a great meal that we all share.

Now my son's favorite food is pizza and my kid is your typical growing boy who can down an entire large pizza all by himself - with not a crumb leftover. Buying pizza from a fast food restaurant can cost a fortune the way my son can eat - and I hate spending lots of money on fast food.

#gametimegoodies #shop #cbias

Walmart has rolled back the price of DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza to only $4.50 each!
So I was very glad when I learned that Walmart had rolled back the price of yummy DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza to only $4.50 each - HOLLA TO THE PRICE ROLLBACK!!!

I love DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza because it tastes like restaurant pizza and comes with toppings that we love like Italian Sausage and Three Meat.

#gametimegoodies #shop #cbias
#gametimegoodies #shop #cbias
#gametimegoodies #shop #cbias

DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza baked up in no time making pre-game food preparation easy. My son is very picky about what he eats, but he loves DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza as much as I do.  And paying only $4.50 each for DiGiorno pizza at Walmart means I could afford to feed the whole family for only $9 while we watched our local professional basketball team last Friday night.

#gametimegoodies #shop #cbias
Yummy DiGiorno Pizza helps to lessen the agony of defeat!
While our team could not pull off a win on Friday night - they lost BIG time - we won with a great meal that made the agony of defeat a whole lot easier to stomach.

So when the Big Game takes place on Sunday, February 2nd, my freezer will be totally stocked with DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizzas from Walmart so we can have a great meal during the game at a great price.

If you love Walmart price rollbacks and like to save money on food like I do, check out DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza and other Nestle products on Walmart.com.

FREE BCBSM Kids 'N Kicks Summer Walking Program at Fairlane Mall 6/7 - 8/16 - Dearborn - RSVP

FREE walking program allows participants to “travel” the shopping center with Walking Passport...

During this summer’s fifth annual Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Kids ‘N Kicks Summer Walking Program, kids and their families are invited to travel Fairlane Town Center to locate “exciting places in Michigan.” New this year,Kids ‘N Kicks will provide participants with Summer Walking Passports that feature pictures of popular destinations throughout the metro Detroit area, as well as the distances it would take to travel to them from the center. This free program runs June 7 through Aug. 16 and is open to all area families.

Rain or shine, kids can fill in their passports as they travel throughout Fairlane, acquiring stickers to complete them. Every week there will be a picture of each location hidden throughout the center that matches their passport. When a walker spots a picture, they can confirm it with customer service and receive a sticker for their Walking Passport.

At the end of each Kids ‘N Kicks visit, participants record the distance walked in their walking logs and take it to the Customer Service desk for a completion stamp. Participants will receive a special treat each visit, a milestone prize for every five visits and a prize for completing their passports.

Participants can register at the Customer Service desk, where they will receive a start-up membership kit to keep track of how far they walk during the summer. The membership kit includes a walking log, Fairlane Town Center map with walking route calculations, a Summer Walking Passport, Saturday Weekend Wake-Up information, a membership folder, health information from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and an orange neck tote to hold the walking log and center map that participants are encouraged to bring with them each time they visit.

More than 100 children and their families tracked their summer walking at Fairlane Town Center in the program’s first year. That total climbed to more than 900 participants last year. Jessica Stark, the top walker for the 2012 program, walked 210 miles, along with other top walkers Jackelyn and Nathalia Toral, Breanna Stark, and Zen, Dre and Kai Nelson. The overall total of all 2012 participants came to nearly 3,000 miles, almost doubling the previous year.

“We are proud to again sponsor Kids ‘N Kicks, a program that helps kids and their families participate in physical activity during the summer months,” said Bridget G. Hurd, director, Community Responsibility, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. “The Summer Walking Passport that the participating children will receive is an exciting and fun way to encourage walking throughout the mall and also helps them learn about popular destinations in our community.

“We’re excited to have the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Kids ‘N Kicks Summer Walking Program at Fairlane Town Center return for a fifth year,” said Fairlane Town Center General Manager, Catherine O’Malley. “The program continues to grow in popularity throughout our community. Every child who takes part in Kids ‘N Kicks will get to enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, and have some fun while they’re at it.”

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Kids ‘N Kicks Summer Walking Program at Fairlane Town Center includes four special Saturday Weekend Wake-Up events in conjunction with the program. Space is limited and reservations must be made in advance by calling 313-593-3546 or sending an email to jkincaid@taubman.com.

Sat., June 29 at 11 a.m. at BRAVO! Cucina Italiana — BRAVO! Chef of the Day. A BRAVO! Chef of the Day will teach the walkers how to prepare a simple, healthy meal. All program participants will receive a FREE healthy lunch. Space is limited to 60 kids and reservations must be made by June 25.
