FREE Comerica Java & Jazz Concert Series at Detroit Main Library continues 5/15 with Isis Damil

Free concert series celebrates its 18th season with local musicians

Comerica Bank has partnered with the Detroit Public Library to present the FREE Comerica Java & Jazz: A Coffee House Series for the 18th consecutive year.

The concert series brings world-renowned jazz musicians to Detroit for music fans to enjoy FREE of charge.

The FREE concerts will be held on the third Tuesday of every month from March through July at the Detroit Public Library, Friends Auditorium located at 5201 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48202.

The series continues Tuesday, May 15 with the Isis Damil

Clearly one of Detroit’s musical treasures, Isis Damil is a producer, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and current member of the Stellar Award Winning, Grammy nominated group J. Moss and PAJAAM

Tuesday, March 20, 6:00 p.m to 7:30pm

Mike Monford Trio
Tuesday, April 17, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30pm

Isis Damil
Tuesday, May 15, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30pm

Al McKenzie
Tuesday, June 19, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30pm
From being the former music director and keyboard player for The Temptations to conducting the Buffalo Symphony to teaching jazz music to youth, to know Al is to love him.

Joan Belgrave
Tuesday, July 17, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30pm
Joan Belgrave is a remarkable Jazz singer, known for clean notes, vibrant melodies and vocal versatility.
