FREE Dental Clinic for Kids
Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Western Wayne Family Health Centers
26650 Eureka Road, Ste C
Taylor, MI 48180

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease in America. More than 50 percent of five to nine year-old children have one cavity or filling and 25 percent of poor children have not seen a dentist before entering kindergarten.

Delta Dental, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Community Health, will host a FREE dental clinic at the Western Wayne Family Health Center (26650 Eureka Road, Taylor MI 48180) for underserved children tomorrow from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This event is FREE and open to children grades 1st – 7th.

Parents interested in registering their children should call (734) 941-4991. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Sealants and varnishes are part of a child’s preventative dental maintenance. They will help to prevent cavities, but does not replace fillings. For children without dental coverage, sealant and varnish could mean the difference between a life with good oral health and one plagued with dental problems.

Participating children will also receive FREE oral health kits including a toothbrush, dental floss, timer and other goodies.

Enjoy!

NEW to DVD: Children's Hospital: The Complete Third Season - Send in the Clowns!

Strange bedfellows can be funny....

The courageous men and women of Children's Hospital – brilliant, egotistical, nymphomaniacal doctors all – do whatever it takes to save sick kids’ lives whether they deserve it or not. Led by resident clown doctor Blake Downs (Rob Corddry), the Children's Hospital team will disrobe, do Ecstasy, donate organs (except for the important one), or set up digs in a hospital bathroom.

If you watch the show, then you know that clowns cause quite the controversy on Children's Hospital. In fact, Dr. Blake is kicked out of his own apartment for being a clown and has to move in with his coworkers, whom he annoys.

We have all been there - trapped in a living situation with the friend or relative that we least understand who goes in our room to "borrow" stuff, eats all our food in the frig, or walks in when we are showering. The writers on Children's Hospital take everyday situations, like crazy roomies, and turns it into outrageous comedy.

Childrens Hospital Season 3 DVD: Our Little Secret by thewbdotcom

Show creator Corddry (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) stars with series regulars Malin Akerman (27 Dresses), Lake Bell (Boston Legal), Erinn Hayes (Parenthood), Rob Huebel (The Descendants), Ken Marino (Party Down), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), Henry Winkler (Happy Days) and a slew of celebrity drop-ins.

BUY IT!
If you like your comedy more on the outrageous side, then you will be happy to know that Children's Hospital: The Complete Third Season was just released on DVD on July 24, 2012.

Now you can get all your favorite Children's Hospital episodes on one DVD.  Let the comedy of life begin...
