The Detroit Public Library is participating in the Museum Adventure Pass (MAP) program!


Beginning October 25, free passes to 25 metro area museums will be available for check-out at Main Library and every branch library in Detroit. DPL customers in good standing will be able to check-out a free admission pass, good for 7 days, and admitting either 2 or 4 people depending on the museum.

Participating museums include :
>Detroit Institute of Arts,
>Detroit Historical Museum,
>Ford Rouge Factory Tour,
>Henry Ford Estate,
>Cranbrook Museums for Science and for Art,
>University of Michigan Exhibit Museum of Natural History,
>Howell Nature Center,
and many more.

MAP is a partnership between public libraries and museums in Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw, Livingston, St. Clair and Macomb counties.The program is sponsored by Macy's, the Library of Michigan Foundation, and the Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan. Macy's underwrites expenses for producing promotional materials used by and in DPL libraries as well as print and media advertising for the program.

MAP begins October 25, and continues through October, 2008. If successful, it will be considered for a second year.
