Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) hosts FREE outdoor Yoga and Zumba® Classes on 8/2

It’s BYOYM, or bring your own yoga mat, Saturday, August 2nd, 2014, at the Detroit Institute of Arts! 

In celebration of the eighth annual Neighborhoods Day, founded by ARISE Detroit!, the Detroit Institute of Arts is hosting a FREE Yoga class at 9 a.m. and a FREE Zumba® class at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 2nd  on the museum’s South Lawn.

Instructors from Yoga Shelter Midtown Detroit will lead an hour of slow flow yoga with music. Zumba instructor Chandra Floyd will present a one –hour, full-body workout to Latin and international music.

Both classes are FREE and All experience levels are welcome at both events. 

Participants must be ages 18 and older. In the event of inclement weather, classes will be held in Rivera Court.

Neighborhoods Day celebrates the work churches, schools, community groups, book clubs, and local businesses do throughout the year to create a better Detroit. This is the third year the DIA is participating.
