My son and I sounded great jamming to the music...
Do you sing in the shower? Most people do because we all sound great due to the acoustics. So what if I told you that there is a mic that can improve the quality of your singing so that you have that "shower pitch" all the time?
Just on the market is a new technology enhanced microphone from a company called Paper Jamz. Paper Jamz came into fame last year with their line of cardboard guitars that were all the rage with kids (and adults).
Using unique Perfect Pitch™ technology, the new Paper Jamz Pro Series Microphone & Effects Amp analyzes and tunes your voice's pitch in real-time, with five separate modes: Solo/Duet, Auto Harmony, Auto Vibrato, Chorus, and Auto. As you sing, the Pro Mic instantly transforms your voice, giving rockin’, Grammy-quality vocals to even the most pitch challenged kids and adults.
Imagine doing karaoke with the kids and everyone sounds great no matter what you are singing. This new Paper Jamz product comes packaged as a microphone and amplifier. Just insert the four AA batteries into the amp, attach the microphone and turn on the unit with a switch on the side of the amp. All the sound effect controls, sound selection buttons and volume controls are virtual so the unit is smooth and flat with no switches or buttons.
The amp comes loaded with two songs, but there is room for up to three songs which can either be downloaded from the Paper Jamz's website or loaded from your own personal music collection. My son and I had fun jamming with the music, and yes, we both sounded great. You can also use the amp without playing any music which is great if you or your kids need a portable sound system for public speaking - or as my son used it to make super loud belching noises throughout the house. Aren't kids great?
The Paper Jamz Pro Series Microphone & Effects Amp retails for $29.99 and is available now at Walmart and Target stores nationwide.

This is a wonderful Experience that everyone should get to see...
A few years ago, I took my son on a vacation to Ohio. We visited Cedar Point Amusement Park for 2 days, stayed at Great Wolf Lodge, and then had a unique experience on our last day in Ohio. I drove about 20 minutes from Sandusky to Port Clinton to the African Safari Wildlife Park.
My fearless son and a zebra...
Despite being nowhere near Africa, African Safari Wildlife Park simulates the feel of traversing the plains of Tanzania by providing a vast expanse of a drive-thru safari, plentifully stocked with exotic animals. Peer up at fan-favorite giraffes, across at the white zebras and the more expected black-and-white Grant's zebras, up and down the ridged humps of bactrian camels, and wonder at the African majesty of the scottish highland bull.
Watch out for hungry water buffalos. This one stole 2 cups of feed from my son. After that we kept the window rolled up...
The cost of admission includes one free cup of animal food per vehicle to feed the animals as visitors drive through the park. Since the animals know they will be fed, they come right up to the car and put their heads in your windows. My son lost two cups of feed to a hungry (and aggressive) water buffalo. We stuck with carrots after that. The best part was when the giraffe came over to the car and my son fed him thru the sun roof.
Totally Priceless...
After the drive thru safari, we toured the walk thru zoo where my son rode a camel and a pony. People started giving my son extra pony and camel ride tickets since their kids were too scared to ride. Sometimes it pays to be a fearless.
Today's Groupon for $22, gets you four tickets to African Safari Wildlife Park (up to a $71.80 value). Children 3 and younger are admitted for free.
Hurry! This offer ends on Thusday, July 28th at midnight EST.

I love photos. If you have read my blog for any length of time, then you know how I love to include lots of photos in my blog posts. Photos help to tell a rich story. They draw the reader into the story that I am telling and let people have a small peek into my life to see the things that I care about.
One thing that I have noticed is that no two people can go the same event and take the exact same photo. We are all individuals who see the world so differently and photos help to express a point of view that is truly unique.
A Special Photo for Me
The photo above was taken when my son and I went to see Disney On Ice last year in the Palace of Auburn Hills. He was 10 years old at the time. I realized as we sat enjoying the show that he is getting to the age where he won't want to go with me to "kiddie" events like this much longer. This photo is a way for me to hold on to that precious age between him being a kid and growing up.
Things Remembered Photo Contest awards $200 plus more!
Since this photo of me and my son is special to me, I entered it in the Things Remembered Photo Contest.
Things Remembered understands that photos are special memories and they want to hear about a photo that is special to you. Just upload a photo and tell your story about how the photo is special. The winners will receive $200 and the chance to be featured in the Things Remembered Holiday Ad Campaign, both online and in stores.
