Camp Africa: Spring Into Science is a week-long day camp experience open to children ages 7 - 12.

During this 5-day session running daily from Monday, April 6 through Friday,April 10, children will learn that Africa is a continent comprised of diverse cultures, participate in hands-on S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities focused on the topic of vaccines, and develop artistic and performance skills in the areas of vocabulary (literacy) and the visual arts.

This day camp program begins at 8 am and ends at 3:15 pm each day.

Sample Schedule for the week:

The Days CAMP Schedule – 

Tuesday-Thursday
 8:00-8:30 Arrival & Morning snack (Provided by Parents)
 8:30-9:00 Morning activity/Ice Breaker
 9:15-11:30 Academic Sessions (Science and Literacy)
- Historic facts activities
- Interactive/Demonstration
 11:30-12:30Lunch/recess (Lunches provided by Parents)
 12:45-3:00 Practicum-Students break into their respective areas/fields and
practice the portion of their program that encompasses the information they have
learned for the day.
3:15 Afternoon ritual and Dismissal

Friday
Morning: Rehearsal
Afternoon: Celebration and Rest
3:15 Afternoon ritual and Dismissal
5:00 Return for show
6:00 Showtime- Parents, family and community Welcome
