Kids earn FREE BOOKS in the 2012 Barnes & Noble "Imaginations & Destinations" Summer Reading Program

Kids Earn a Free Book - just for reading!

The Barnes & Noble "Imaginations & Destinations" Summer Reading Program is marking its sixteenth year with a special celebration of the power of books to expand horizons. Once again, they’re partnering with educators and parents to inspire readers in the first through sixth grades to have a summer filled with reading adventures—and earn a FREE book!

This year's theme "Imaginations & Destinations" encourages students to let books transport them to the most exciting destination of all: the imagination.

The activities in the Summer Reading kit are designed to reinforce learning, nurture skills, and motivate kids to extend their reading through the summer vacation. Whether they are staying home or traveling, kidss can pick the titles they want to read and proceed at their own pace.

Here Is How the Program Works --

Step 1:Kids in grades 1 thru 6 can read any 8 books and record them in the special Reading Journal
(Download the Reading Journal here).

Kids enter the names of their books as they read them. Parent/guardian signatures are required.

Step 2: Bring the completed Reading Journal to your local B&N store between May 22nd and September 4th, 2012.
Find a Store.

Step 3: Choose a FREE BOOK from the selection on the Reading Journal list at the store.
