FREE Comerica Java & Jazz Coffee House Series with Marcus & Joan Belgrave Jazz Ensemble 6/17

Free concert series continues its 14th season with local musicians...

Comerica Bank has partnered with the Detroit Public Library to present the FREE Comerica Java & Jazz: A Coffee House Series for the 14th consecutive year. The concert series brings world-renowned jazz musicians to Detroit for music fans to enjoy FREE of charge.

The FREE concerts will be held on the third Tuesday of every month from March through July at the Detroit Public Library, Friends Auditorium located at 5201 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48202.

The series continues on Tuesday, June 17 with the Marcus and Joan Belgrave Jazz Emsemble.

The renowned trumpeter and his vocalist wife perform jazz and blues at its finest as they take a musical journey from the '30s to the present. Marcus Belgrave, known for his longtime gig as the master jazz trumpeter for Ray Charles, has enthralled audiences world-wide with his musical virtuosity. Enter in the powerful, yet alluring voice of his wife Joan Belgrave and you have a must see event to mark on your calendar.
