FREE Admission to Detroit Institute of Arts for Ford Free Sunday 11/13

Ford Motor Company Fund sponsors FREE Admission to Detroit Institute of Arts on second Sunday of the Month

Ford Free Sundays continues on November 13th

Admission to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) will be free on Ford Free Sundays—the second Sunday of each month—beginning Sept. 11, thanks to a sponsorship by Ford Motor Company Fund.

“We are delighted that Ford Motor Company Fund is sponsoring admission for one Sunday each month,” said Graham W. J. Beal, DIA director. “Sundays are one of our most popular days and are programmed with families in mind. Thanks to Ford’s generosity, more people will be able to enjoy the variety of activities the museum offers.”

Sundays are Family Sundays at the DIA, and programs include drop-in art-making activities, drawing in the galleries (supplies provided), tours, storytelling, puppet shows and other family performances. The programs are free with museum admission, so Ford Free Sundays are an additional bargain. Exhibitions and programs that have a ticket price are not included.

“We are pleased to sponsor Ford Free Sundays as an opportunity for all to enjoy the world-renowned art and diverse activities offered by the DIA,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. “Community engagement is our focus at Ford Fund, and this is a great opportunity for the entire community to come together.”

The next Ford Free Sunday is November 13th.
