REVIEW: Disney On Ice presents "Mickey & Minnie’s Magical Journey" is hit with families

Travel to magical lands with Mickey and Minnie

Last night, my son and I went to the opening night for Disney On Ice presents "Mickey & Minnie’s Magical Journey" at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The place was packed with kids (including lots of babies) that were all ready to go on the Disney journey of imagination.

The show starts out with Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy going on a journey to visit their old friends from The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Lilo & Stitch.  These visits were short explorations into these favorite classic Disney adventure stories.

The main part of the show was a visit to the story of Peter Pan.  It was funny to me that most of the kids in the audience where I was sitting did not know the story of Peter Pan, Wendy, the Lost Boys and Captain Hook and kept asking their parents who the characters were.

I was thrilled to see Peter since I grew up reading the story of the little boy who did not want to grow up. But everyone is the audience knew Tinker Bell and she was the hit of the show with her fairy costume and all that magic fairy dust she threw.  Even I was clapping every time Tinker Bell was on the ice.

Disney On Ice presents Mickey & Minnie’s Magical Journey is another great ice show that had everyone in the audience laughing, clapping and believing in magic.
