Mayor Mike Duggan and new DDOT Director Dan Dirks have made it a priority to improve DDOT transit services for its customers. As part of this commitment, DDOT is seeking qualified individuals to fill several mechanic and bus driver positions.

Title: General Auto Mechanic (General Services Department/Department of Transportation)

Salary: $18.56 - $18.77 Hourly

Job Type: Certified-Regular Civil Service

To qualify for the General Auto Mechanic position, applicants must:

• Be 21 years of age or older

• Possess a valid state driver’s license

• Have earned a high school diploma or GED

• Have two years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience

• Be a team player

Job Title: Transportation Equipment Operator

Salary: $11.50 - $15.93 Hourly

To qualify as a Bus Driver (Transportation Equipment Operator), individuals must:

• Be 18 years of age or older

• Possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

• Have earned a high school diploma or GED

• Have an abundance of people-friendly skills
