Living for the (FREE) Weekend in Metro Detroit - April 16th - April 18th


Here is a highlight of the FREE activities you can do this weekend in the metro Detroit area and beyond:

It's going to be a beautiful, sunny weekend in the D! So, let's get right on down to the FREE...


On Saturday April 17th is the FREE Teachers Appreciation Day at The Henry Ford from 9am-5pm. Those lucky teachers can explore The Henry Ford Museum, watch FREE IMAX movies, tour Greenfield Village and go on the Ford Rouge Factory Tour - all for FREE.


In Auburn Hills is the FREE Cliffhanger showing of Toy Story 3 for Oakland University students. The movie starts at 12pm.

Also on Saturday, you can watch a FREE U of D Women's Tennis game. The ladies will be playing Cleveland State University at 1:30 p.m.

For the kids, go to your local Lowes for the FREE Kids Workshop at 10am where the future carpenters will be making a planter.

Your local Borders Books is hosting a FREE Event for National Poetry Month at 11am.

And adults can learn how to better manage money at a FREE Money Smart Festival from 3-6pm on the Northwest side of Detroit.

On Sunday, designer Cynthia Vincent's Shoe Collection debuts at Target stores nationwide. She did a total knock-off of her upscale shoe line and the prices top out at only $30!!

Also on Sunday, the U of D Women's Tennis team takes on Youngstown State University and you can watch for FREE. Call for times.
