Get Ready for Dali...and Mustache Day!

Salvador Dalí was one of the most prolific artists of the 20th century, whose fantastic imagery, flamboyant personality, and eccentric appearance also made him one of the best known. To celebrate the inclusion of his work—Soft Construction with Boiled Beans—in Five Spanish Masterpieces, and his iconic mustache, the DIA is offering free museum admission to any visitor who sports a mustache (real or fake!) between Friday, August 3, and Sunday, August 5.*

That weekend, visitors can also enjoy The Dalí Project—a puppet performance that explores Dalí’s embrace of the subconscious through various forms of puppetry—presented by Puppet Junction. The performances will transport the audience from a contemporary reality into a blurred world of fantastical creatures and deep underlying messages.

Note: Performances on Friday and Saturday are appropriate for adults only;

Sunday’s performance is appropriate for ages eight and up. The Dali Project is made possible through a generous contribution from Groupon.

*This offer is good for one general museum admission and cannot be combined with any other discounts. Mustache must be visible. Redeemable between Friday, August 3, and Sunday, August 5 during regular museum hours.
