HOLIDAY GIFTS: "The Hidden" for Nintendo 3DS

Fight ghosts in your real world...

The hottest gift for this holiday season is going to be the new Nintendo 3DS.  My child is the gamer in the family and he is always trying to talk me into buying him new video games.  But he is very particular about what kind of games he wants to play.  It used to be that I could just buy him a game based on the latest movie and he would be happy.  But now, he likes his action games to be more than just a rehash of the latest movie characters.

For Halloween, my son loved his skeleton custom so much that he did not want to take it off.  So I figured the newly released augmented reality game for the Nintendo 3DS called "The Hidden" was just up his alley.

"The Hidden" uses the Nintendo 3DS camera to turn real world surroundings into the backdrop for tracking and fighting ghosts.  So instead of playing the game in an imaginary world, you are battling it out in the real world.  Imagine fighting ghosts under the backdrop of your own bedroom or duking it out with evil spirits in your Ford Explorer.

Using the controls on the Nintendo 3DS, you shoot and destroy ghosts using a range of cool weapons including the Plasmatic Disruptor, Ectoplasm Sensor and Spectral Shield. You will need all those weapons because these evil spirits are no punks - they are armed with everything from claws to tanks.

If you are looking for a Nintendo 3DS game that is something a little different from the norm, then check out "The Hidden".

The Hidden for Nintendo 3DS is priced at $29.99 and is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ due to Fantasy Violence.

Enjoy!

Disclosure: I received a complementary copy of "The Hidden" for Nintendo 3DS.
