You are invited to a free concert in Orchestra Hall that is open to the public with no tickets required. The concert will feature music students in grades 3-8 playing in ensembles of all kinds, from smaller chamber groups to larger string ensembles. Funded by Honda, the Power of Dreams String Music Project is a unique program that provides introductory music education/training in classical violin, viola, cello and bass to children in metro-Detroit communities. Power of Dreams is an initiative made possible through both a generous grant from Honda North America, as well through partnership with Wayne State University and the SHAR Products Company.Tickets are not required for the Power of Dreams on Dec. 12, admission is FREE.
