Fun Awaits at Ladies Night Out April 28 in Downtown Milford

Hundreds of women expected for evening of shopping and dining

The Village of Milford’s annual Ladies Night Out returns Thursday, April 28 from 5 to 9 p.m. in its downtown Main Street district, promising giveaways, one-night-only discounts, storewide sales, freebies, plus complimentary snacks and beverages at participating retailers.

Besides plenty of time to eat, drink, shop and mingle, ladies will also have the chance to win one of 40 gift certificates worth at least $20 each, redeemable at a variety of Milford spots. To enter, attendees can pick up stamps at participating businesses to place in a booklet. Once they’ve picked up 10, they can enter to win by dropping their completed form in any box at participating locations.

Patrons can expect specials at many of Milford’s restaurants as well, and exclusive deals and previews of the latest merchandise at dozens of clothing boutiques, gift shops, jewelry stores and furniture outfitters.

At the Mill Valley Center complex on the north end of downtown past Commerce Street visitors should stop in for a building-wide scavenger hunt, prizes, refreshments and free psychic readings. The Mill Valley Center is home to four new participating businesses, including pottery studio Cobbygoose, Celestial Derma Spa, home-entertaining and food product company DeMarle at Home, and Ruggles Café.

Additionally, new business Salon Del Sol will host its grand opening from 3 to 8 p.m. April 28 as well, handing out samples and tips for “blinging” your hair with feather locks and other fun extensions. Book your appointment on Ladies Night Out and receive 10 percent off your next hair service. The salon is the latest in a string of new businesses opening in Milford in the last six months.

“Ladies Night Out is a delightful evening to gather your girlfriends, moms, aunts and sisters to enjoy all that downtown Milford has to offer and more,” said Wendi Skolnik, Milford Business Association president and owner of Nana’s Niche & Corner, one of the participating Milford businesses. “Whether you’ve been to Milford a dozen times or never, there’s no better evening to laugh, shop, dine and explore our 250 shops and restaurants.”
