Living for the (FREE) Weekend in Metro Detroit - August 12th - 14th

Here is a list of the FREE and low cost activities that you can do in Detroit and beyond this weekend....

Friday is the opening day for the movie "30 Minutes or Less". But is it any good? Make sure you read the movie review by guest blogger Liz Parker before you spend your hard earned money. (NOTE: The review goes live at midnight EST)

This Friday is FREE Movie Night in Birmingham at Booth Park where you can watch a movie under the stars. This week's FREE movie will be "How to Train Your Dragon".  Parking is also FREE for 2 hours in the parking decks.

Friday at 7:30pm is the FREE Rockin' on the Riverfront Summer Concert with "Bachman-Turner". There is nothing like listening to FREE live music with the beautiful Detroit River as a backdrop. This is the last FREE Rockin' on the Riverfront concert of the summer season. Don't miss the fun.

On Saturday, Art Van Furniture will be hosting a volunteer recruitment event for Ford Arts, Beats &  Eats from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and all those who attend will get FREE ice cream from Hudsonville Creamery.

Sunday, residents of Rochester can get FREE Admission to DIA on August 7th as part of the Museum’s Inside Out Project. Rochester residents who provide a driver’s license or state ID on Sunday will receive four free general admissions.

Go into your local Famous Daves on Sunday and if your first name is Dave or a directive of Dave (David, Davy, etc) you will get a FREE entree priced up to $15.00. Unfortunately, last names don't count.

Sunday is the last day to use this WOW Pass COUPON for 15% off at Macys.  This coupon is good for select sale and clearance apparel.  So if you are looking to expand your wardrobe, make sure you print this coupon before you go shopping.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend,
