The Goodwill Resale Store in Canton is offering "super" deals on household items, like bowls, as well as gently used and new clothing when Metro Detroiters “Shop for Jobs” before the NFL’s big game Sunday, Feb. 6.

NFL football fans and snack food aficionados across Metro Detroit can find excellent deals on a variety of household items, such as bowls, as well as clothing and other new or gently used merchandise Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 at the Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit “Super” Bowl (and Clothing) Sale. From noon to 6 p.m. at the nonprofit organization’s new flagship upscale resale store in Canton, Mich. (41937 Ford Rd.), customers will receive XLV (45) cents off the price of any bowl in the store.

Customers who go “shopping for jobs” on Feb. 6 also can purchase a range of gold-tagged clothing items for just 99 cents. Store management is showcasing items with gold tags in celebration of the color shared by the NFL teams from both Green Bay and Pittsburgh. Quantities are limited.

Proceeds from the Goodwill “Super” Bowl Sale support Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit employment education and training programs that help unemployed Metro Detroiters earn jobs.

“We’re looking to have some fun on Sunday and remind the people of the Detroit area that our new store is here to help our friends and neighbors earn jobs,” said Jeff Ukrainec, director of donated goods for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. “We’re offering ‘super’ deals on bowls and clothing as part of the sale, but we think new customers will be especially pleased with the variety of other high quality items and with our upscale resale experience.”
