REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Style + Freedom = Jabra Stone 2 Bluetooth Headset (CLOSED)

True Hands Free Communication...

During my trip to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, a had a number of technologies in mind to see, but I really did not expect to be surprised by a company that I have done business with for years. While attending one of the CES press events, I came across the Jabra booth. Jabra is a vendor with which I am very well acquainted.

Jabra produces headphones and wireless earpieces that my family cannot live without. Until I found the Jabra brand, I could not find headphones or an earpiece that actually fit inside my ear. The same is true for my son's dad. So when when we found Jabra, we have pretty much stayed with the brand for the past six years.

At CES, I found out that Jabra has a brand new wireless bluetooth earpiece called the Jabra Stone 2. I am familiar with the original Jabra Stone product since my son's dad owns two of them. The original Jabra Stone and the Jabra Stone 2 look very similar with only a few cosmetic differences. The earpieces are stylish and very light weight and when the earpieces are put inside their portable charges, the total units look like stones, hence the name of the products. But the Jabra Stone 2 has new features that set it apart from other bluetooth earpieces.

Same Stylish Design as the Original Jabra Stone
Here is a list of the new features of the Jabra Stone 2 that my son's dad just LOVES since he is always on the phone using a bluetooth headset for his business:

- Make calls using the sound of your voice (For Example, "Call FreeIsMyLife")
- Answer an incoming call by simply saying "Answer"
- Reject a call by saying "Ignore"
- Hear the name of an incoming caller through the headset exactly how you programmed the caller into your phone
- Have the headset actually say to you that it is paired with your phone. It says "Connect" - how easy is that.

If you are driving, all these new features help you to keep your eyes on road and your hands on the steering wheel for a true hands free experience.

The Jabra Stone 2 also has other features that we have not tried out like using 3rd party apps from the "Jabra World of Apps" to send a text messages or update a Facebook page by just using your voice.

The only problem that we had with the Jabra Stone 2 is the same issue that we have with the original Jabra Stone and that is with actual talk being less than what is advertised. We have not been able to get 2 hours of talk time between charges. But that issue does not detract from the fact that this is a great product.

The Jabra Stone 2 retails for $129 and works with any bluetooth enabled phone. It is available at AT&T retail stores and Att.com. I want to thank Jabra for giving me the opportunity to review this wonderful product.
