TECH REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Mobi Headphonies is my CES fav - Cute design and booming sound (CLOSED)

I was sent this Sunny Headphonies for review
Mobi Headphonies are adorable, useful and reasonably priced!

When I read magazines, I love to tear out and keep pages of things that peek my interest. So while I was leafing through a magazine one day, I came around a totally too cute personal music player speaker called Headphonies. They caught my eye because of their unique designs. So I tore out the advertisement to keep so I could learn more about the speakers.

While I was attending the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas, I could not believe it when I happened upon the Mobi booth.  The Headphonies looked just as good in real life as they did in the magazine.

Mobi Headphonies are micro speakers that are just 3 inches tall and weigh only 4 ounces each. Inside the head of each character is a tiny speaker that uses digital signal processor circuitry to produce music with clear bass and without the distortion found in most speakers of this size.

Mobi sent me the Sunny Headphonies for review and it is too adorable in that pink polka dot bikini. When I unpacked the Sunny, I followed the instructions and charged the battery using the enclosed USB charge cable. Headphonies contain a lithium-ion battery that provides four hours of play time per charge. After I charged the battery, I connected the Sunny to my smartphone using the enclosed audio input cable. I would never know by listening to the music that the great sound was coming from such a small speaker.

Headphonies come with a clip-on tether so you can attach the speaker to a cord to wear it around your neck (as in the photo above) or clip it to a music player or gaming device like a Nintendo DS.

One con of the Headphonies is that you have to remember to keep the battery charged.  You are suppose to use the speaker until the battery is completely drained but it does charge fairly quickly within 20 minutes. Another thing is that the speaker grill is on the back of the character's head which means you have the turn it backwards to hear the music.  Although the back is the speaker is also cute, it would be better to have the grill on the front so that you can still see the character's cute face while playing music.

Mobi Headphonies are available on Amazon.com ranging in price from $9.99 to $29.99 depending on the character design.  These cute speakers with the booming sound would be great for anyone from kids to adults which is why I included it as part of my Valentine Day Gift Guide.

Mobi Headphonies are just one of those fun, useful and reasonably priced products that appeal to everyone.
