FREE Java & Jazz Concert at Detroit Main Library with Maurissa Rose-Tuesday 6/21 6pm

FREE Comerica Java & Jazz
Maurissa Rose-Tuesday, June 21, 6 p.m.

Come to the Detroit Public Library to celebrate Black Music Month with the Comerica Java & Jazz event featuring the amazing Maurissa Rose, winner of Fox 2 Detroit's X Factor Audition Pass Contest.

Bring your family, your friends and come experience this remarkable talent before she auditions in Chicago for the highly anticipated singing competition The X Factor.  Maurissa Rose has a voice as sweet as her surname, but near-miss fame with major record labels almost silenced this songbird forever.  But her dynamic voice started appearing on multiple tracks like "Forget About You," "Sweet Memories," and "Special," which was in heavy rotation on Detroit's WGPR.

Maurissa also gained the attention of music lovers when the melodic mystery voice was featured on duets with Universal Motown recording artist Kem on the "Tonight,"single fromMadea's Family Reunion and "If it's Love" off of Kem's IntimacyCD.  You are invited to discover what the world has come to know as the Maurissa Rose Experience.

This event is free and open to the public.  For more information about Comerica Java & Jazz and for a complete schedule of upcoming concerts, please visit www.detroitpubliclibrary.org.
