Voice and Guitar. Do musicians even play with just voice and guitar anymore? Shoot, do most musicians even sing live anymore? Well a British new comer named Bobby Long does. Best known as the writer behind the song “Let Me Sign,” which was sung by Robert Pattinson and featured in the movie Twilight, Bobby writes and sings songs that are rich in content and simple in design.
I first played Bobby's album "A Winter Tale" in my car on way home from work. After work I like my music to be pretty calm since I like to unwind on my way home. As I listened to the album, I found the songs to be a combination of folk, country, and blues that Bobby delivers with a raw, gritty voice. Most the music is just voice and guitar which made me really listen to the layered lyrics. If you are a Bob Dylan fan then you will find Bobby very reminiscent of Dylan's style.

While this is not the style of music that I normally listen to, I found "A Winter Tale" to be a very good album by a very talented singer and song writer who knows how to weave a rich story into his lyrics. My guess is that Bobby Long has a very long career ahead of him.
