Living for the (FREE) Weekend - July 9th - July 11th


Here is a highlight of the FREE activities you can do this weekend in the metro Detroit area and beyond:

Wayne State will have their weekly FREE Planetarium Show in the lower level of the Old Main Building on the corner of Cass and Warren. The show is called "Wonders of the Universe".


The Disney Movie "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" is about to open in theaters nationwide. Before you go, read my Sorcerer's Appentice movie review and play a few FREE online games to get you all set for the fun.




Friday starts the FREE Music Concerts at the Uncle Sam Jam in Woodhaven. Friday night Eddie Money will perform. There will also be FREE Fireworks so be sure to make an evening of it with the family.

On Friday or Saturday, go downtown to the Ren Cen 4 for their "Over 21" Movie Night. Click here to buy passes for only $9 per person so you can see a great movie and get great appetizers to boot!



On Saturday, take the Kids to your local Lowes for the FREE Build and Grow Workshop that starts at 10am. This week, the kids will build a classic ball and cup toy.

Also on Saturday in the FREE outdoor concert at 12 Mile Crossing in Novi. This week's music will be performed by Muledrive, the Rockin' Blues group.

Saturday is the last day to order your FREE 8x10 Photo Collage from RiteAid.com. This collage is perfect for those 4th of July photos so hurry up and order yours today!

The FREE Music will continue Saturday and Sunday at the Uncle Sam Jam in Woodhaven so be sure to check the schedule to see who will be performing.
