REVIEW: Disney on Ice presents "Toy Story 3" at the Palace of Auburn Hills 3/9 - 3/13

The toys in "Disney on Ice" put on a great show for opening night in Detroit

Wednesday was the opening night of Disney on Ice Presents "Toy Story 3" at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  My son and I had great seats that we received for free as part of media night.  The show was wonderful and featured all the characters from the "Toy Story 3" movie.

The action follows the storyline of the "Toy Story 3" movie where the toys go on yet another adventure as they find their place in life now that they owner Andy is all grown up and going away to college.  My favorite number of the evening was the dance of the toy soldiers, some of whom parachuted into the arena.

The son loved the entire evening and was singing along and taking photos of all the action.  Everyone was enjoying the evening - parents included.  The best line of the evening was when Ken told Barbie to come to his dream house to see where the magic happens. All the parents laughed out loud. Thankfully, the kids did not get the joke :-)

The remaining show days and times are as follows:

Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, March 11 at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 12 at 11:30 a.m.; 3:30 p.m.; and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 13 at 11:30 a.m.; 3:30 p.m.; and 7:30 p.m.
