Get ready to “Shop, Rock & Stroll” in Downtown Milford –  July 8-10

The Village of Milford’s Main Street corridor will come alive July 8-10 for the 52-year shopping tradition, Shop, Rock & Stroll. The three-day celebration annually attracts thousands to downtown Milford and will feature great deals and family fun sponsored by the Milford Business Association and the Milford Downtown Development Authority.

Shop, Rock & Stroll is downtown Milford’s most anticipated sidewalk sales event, and will take over Main Street from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 10 a..m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Participating retailers offer deals up to 75 percent off at apparel, art, jewelry and home furnishing boutiques.

While adults will snag bargains at approximately 20 participating stores, children can enjoy six different inflatable rides, face painting and more.

Local mom blogger Sarah Sims will also be on hand to create crafts with attending children. Check out her websitehuronvalley.macaronikid.com for more information.

“This is a great way for friends and family to be together, get some shopping done at deeply discounted prices and just have fun,” said Aaron Goodnough, event organizer and owner of For Feets Sake, one of the participating Milford businesses. “We encourage everyone from across metro Detroit to come into our downtown and check out the many shops and restaurants Milford offers.”

Milford restaurant Gravity Bar & Grill at 340 N. Main St. will host a food and beer tent and will feature entertainment by popular local group Aaron Vaughn Band Friday and Saturday nights and Bobby Lee during the day Saturday. Other local performers will provide weekend entertainment as well.

And when they’re done shopping, rocking AND strolling, patrons can always dine at many of the restaurants located along Main Street.

This weekend event will happen rain or shine.
