AmeriCorps Positions (Michigan)
MPCA AmeriCorps Community Navigators serve to provide outreach opportunities for families in Michigan with uninsured children. Navigators enroll eligible but uninsured children in low-cost or free health insurance and offer follow-up and renewal assistance to the families they serve. They also build enrollment partnerships with local organizations like schools and non-profits, provide training for staff and volunteers in local communities and participate in sharing best practices from the field. AmeriCorps members selected for these positions will complete 1700 hours of community service (average of 32-35 hours per week) beginning in October 2011 and finishing in September 2012. Members receive a living stipend of $12,100 per year, an educational award upon successful completion of $5,350.00 and basic health insurance. Executive Director (Grand Rapids)
The 35-year-old Land Conservancy of West Michigan (, the only independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust solely dedicated to protecting important natural lands in West Michigan, seeks an Executive Director.
