"In these tough economic times, people often forgo basic health care to make ends meet," said Mauricio Wissinger, Regional Vice President for America's Best stores.. Wissinger said that he hopes the free exams will lessen stress associated with routine eye exams for Detroiters.
Many people delay eye exams until vision problems interfere with everyday activities like driving and reading, the company wrote in a press release

Exams from America's Best, which includes prescription glasses if necessary,normally cost $45.
