FREE State Park Passes at Detroit Public Libraries

Park & Read is your FREE pass to visit any one of Michigan's 98 state parks & recreation areas!

Come "check-out" a one-day pass into any Michigan state park or recreation area to save $6 on the entrance fee - plus, this will give you access to the more than 500 free events taking place in state parks throughout the summer. Passes available while supplies last at your Detroit Public Library.

For those interested in bringing along a library book for serious beach reading, 68 of the state parks have hammocks available for Park & Read users to borrow while on-site so you can fully enjoy a great book in Michigan's great outdoors. Passes are valid for seven days from check-out and can be used for one day at any one of Michigan's 98 state parks. The passes are good for day-use only, not for overnight camping stays.
