REVIEW: Verizon HTC Imagio (Part 4) - VZ Navigator is Sweet! (& FREE for a limited time)

Where in the World is FREEISMYLIFE?

Do you use a GPS system? I suppose that most of you answered yes to my question. Some of you are probably saying how you cannot live without it. Well, I am a little of control freak and I don't like trusting a gadget to give me directions. A few years ago, I used technology to direct me to a children's event where I was taking my son. To make a long story short, I was in the wrong city. My son thankfully slept through the whole ordeal, but since then I had not tried any other type of navigation system - until now.

One of the cool features on the Verizon HTC Imagio is called VZ Navigator. VZ Navigator uses GPS positioning to tell you where you are, what's near you and to give you directions to places quickly and easily.

So with shaking hands, I finally decided to get over my fear and let the VZ Navigator lead me from my home to an event in West Bloomfield. And you know what - it worked. I just typed my start address and the end address into the simple interface and checked off a few questions about route preferences and it gave me turn by turn directions. One fear down.

The best part of VZ Navigator for me has to do with my favorite thing - saving money. VZ Navigator can be used to find the cheapest place to buy gasoline. Since the GPS knows where you are located, it gives a list of the gas stations that are close to your location and the current gas prices. No more guessing which station has the lowest prices or using the computer to figure out the price. This is one feature that I L-O-V-E!

VZ Navigator can also be used to find all kinds of places like shopping malls and movie theaters. It can tell you where the closest theater is that is showing that movie you kids want to see and what time the movie starts. Sweet!

The VZ Navigator feature has a monthly access charge of $9.99 or you can pay $2.99 per day for 24 hours of access. FREE OFFER! And for a limited time, try the VZ Navigator feature for FREE for 30 Days : http://bit.ly/bRrJ3A.

I have come to the end of my review of the Verizon HTC Imagio. Over the past 8 weeks I have had a blast playing with all the cool features of this smartphone. I have shared with you how the HTC Imagio compared to other Windows smartphones that I have owned. I've told you how my son is totally in love with VCast TV and VCast Video. I've told you about Verizon Visual Voice Mail, the great 5 megapixel camera and the video recorder and today I've shared all about VZ Navigator.

All these features make the Verizon HTC Imagio one great smartphone that I have truly loved reviewing.

Disclosure: I was loaned the HTC Imagio by Verizon for the purpose of writing this review.
