Here is a highlight of the FREE and low cost activities you can do this weekend in the metro Detroit area and beyond:

Friday through Sunday are the last days of the Starbucks Frappuccino Happy Hour from 3-5 p.m where you can get 1/2 off a Frappuccino.  Yummy and Cheap :)

Friday is the opening day for the new movie "Bridesmaids".  But is it any good?  Don't waste your hard earned money until you read our movie review from guest movie blogger Liz Parker.

On Saturday is the FREE Panera Family Fun Day at the Livonia Panera Bread location on Schoolcraft.  Kids will do crafts and local author Sue Beth Balash will be reading from her book "Mimi, the Inchworm".

Kids get in FREE to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) this Saturday for Grandparents Day with a paid adult general admission.  There will be FREE valet parking, games, tours, and puppet shows for the kids and parents.

Sunday is the last day to enter the MetroParent.com contest to win a Summer Membership to the Franklin Athletic Club in Southfield, MI.  This is a Family membership worth over $1000 so don't forget to enter to win.

Sunday you can get FREE Admission to the Detroit Historical Museum. In addition there will be docent-led tours of the signature exhibit the Streets of Old Detroit from Noon - 3 p.m.

Sunday, remember to use this coupon for a FREE Arby's Market Fresh Grilled Chicken & Pecan Salad w/purchase of 22 oz Pepsi.  Many of my readers have gotten this deal and say the sandwich is delicious - and of course a real deal.
Sunday is the last day to use the coupon to get a FREE Phenom Water from GNC.  Just leave a comment on one of their blogs and they will email you the coupon.

And Sunday is the Annual Flower Day at Detroit Eastern Market. Attended by more than 150,000 people, you can find every kind of flower and alot of FREE actvities including the children's fairy market and the wacky wagon contest and "Ask the Garderner" where you can get FREE gardening advice.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend,
