TECH: Tempo Battery Free iPhone Speaker has a Cool Design & is Priced to Sell for the Holidays

This uniquely designed speaker for the iPhone4/4s works great for guest blogger Laura Terbrack...

I love to test new accessories for my iPhone, so I was intrigued when I was asked me to test out the Tempo Battery Free Acoustic Amplifier for my iPhone 4s.

The Tempo is a cool looking speaker built specifically for the iPhone 4 or 4s. When I first looked at the purple speaker, I was skeptical that I would get decent sound from the speaker, but I was pleasantly surprised when the device emitted a good quality of sound. The Tempo website claims that the Tempo Amplifier amplifies the sound from the built-in speaker of an iPhone by double and I would agree with that claim.

I also liked how the Tempo Amplifier could rest horizontally or vertically, without affecting the sound quality. Another important feature was the ability to access the dock connector so I could easily charge my iPhone.

To gage reaction of the Tempo Amplifier, I took it out on the road with me and pulled it out at work meetings and my son's football practice. Some of my co-workers wanted to play with it and all of the football parents thought it was pretty neat, considering how flexible the material is.

At the $9.99 price point, I think it would make a pretty sweet gift for kids and adults alike, since the investment is not significant.
