Living for the (FREE) Weekend in Metro Detroit - May 7th - May 9th

Detroit's Eastern Market

Here is a highlight of the FREE activities you can do this weekend in the metro Detroit area and beyond:

Saturday, May 8th is going to be a great FREE day in the metro Detroit area.

The great Panera Bread Family Fun Days are back at the Panera Roseville location. Children will have the opportunity to participate in FREE reading activities and craft projects. This event takes place from 11am to 2pm.

Mother's Day is right around the corner! Bring your child to Lowe's this Saturday May 8th and they can build an awesome Trellis Planter. It makes a perfect Mother's Day gift! This FREE event takes place from 10am to 11am.

Kids, put your thinking cap on to walk, talk, and read like Egyptians at the FREE party for the release of the book "The Red Pyramid"Saturday May 8th at 2pm at your local Borders Book Store.
.
Don't let the FREE 8x10 Collage offer from Walgreens expire on Saturday without using it to make Mom a special photo gift. Get a cheap frame from Target and you are all set with a great one of a kind gift.

Saturday is also Healthy Living day in the D. Hopefully everyone has RSVP'ed to attend the FREE Detroit Public TV show taping of "Anti-Cancer" at the station's Wixon location. The time is 10 AM for audience arrival, 10:30 am-2:30 pm for show taping and Q&A

Local Optometrists in Clinton Township, Eastpointe, Shelby Township and Livonia will provide FREE Vision Care For Low-Income Families on Saturday May 8th. You must call for an appointment.

Sunday is Mother's Day and the FREEISMYLIFE 2010 Mother's Day Gift Guide contains many FREEBIES for mom including FREE showings of the soon to be released movie "Letters from Juliet". I was able to review "Letters to Juliet" last month and I think all moms will enjoy it (and its FREE).

Speaking of movies, Queen Latiah's new movie "Just Wright" opens next week and you can get 50 minutes of FREE music inspired by the movie - I'm sure mom would love this music too!
.
Also on Mother's Day, the Detroit Science Center is offering FREE admission for all the moms. Show mom just how much can be learned in one day and have fun recycling with our newest stage show Going Green, soar through a black hole in the planetarium, and climb a mountain in the Chrysler IMAX Dome Theatre.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend,
