Membership Coordinator - The Clinton River Watershed Council (CRWC) provides a forum for individuals, businesses, local governments, and other organizations to protect, enhance, and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed, and Lake St. Clair. The CRWC is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Key programs include watershed management, education, and stewardship. The Membership Coordinator is a 12 month position averaging 30 hours per week. The Membership Coordinator will be responsible for increasing our membership base for individual, business, civic and association memberships. This person must be able to recruit new members through phone, letter solicitation and personal contact through meetings; maintain our current membership database and follow up with member recognition; set up our organization with an improved system for membership database management and consistency, phone bank solicitation and targeted letter writing campaign; demonstrate success for new membership solicitation to assist in developing standards for future membership recruitment; assist in refining the organization’s ‘ask’; build procedures and protocols to generate membership revenues on an effective & sustainable basis; Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field, plus at least 4 years of work experience. Strong public speaking skills and enthusiasm for working with a variety of audiences. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player. Working familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. $29,500 salary,12 months. Compensation provided through a grant from the Erb Family Foundation. The office manager is responsible for the management of all administrative and logistical aspects of the office, including:
